In order to get this new powerful weapon, you need to unlock a few other things beforehand and also earn some Protean and Anemos crystals by killing elemental monsters. Follow our step-by-step guide below for more details.

How to Unlock the Eureka Anemos Weapon

Step 1: Obtain Antiquated Weapon

You can obtain an Antiquated weapon or any other Antiquated item in two ways: either by getting it from your coffer of the level 70 final job quest, or by purchasing it from Calamity Salvager.

Calamity Salvager can be found in the following areas:

The Aftcastle, Limsa Mih Khetto’s Amphitheatre, Gridania Weaver’s Guild, Ul’dah

Step 2: Upgrade Your Weapon

After you’ve purchased an Antiquated weapon from Calamity Salvager, you can take it to Gerolt, a blacksmith, who resides in Port Surgate on Eureka. He will be able to upgrade your weapon to a regular version, and then to +1 and +2 versions, which are necessary for your Anemos weapon.

You also need to have enough Protean crystals to be able to pay for the upgrades. Protean crystals can be obtained by killing elemental monsters on Eureka.

regular weapon upgrade will cost you 100 Protean crystals +1 upgrade will cost you 400 Portean crystals +2 upgrade will cost you 800 Protean crystals

Step 3: Unlock Anemos Weapon

In order to upgrade any of the +2 items, you will also need 150 Anemos crystals, which can be exchanged for your Protean crystals.

However, in order to unlock the Anemos weapon, you will also need 3 Pazuzu feathers, which can only be obtained by killing the Pazuzu Bird, which spawns in the Newvoid, west of Eureka, after you defeat Shadow Wraith.

Take the feathers back to Gerolt and upgrade your +2 weapon to Anemos weapon.
