Although the developer is aware of the problem no patch has been issued yet. Our guide will provide you with several possible fixes for the EA Anti-Cheat error in FIFA 23.
Uninstall Origin Anti Cheat Software
If you play FIFA 23 via the Origin game store, then you need to uninstall the anti cheat software by following these steps:
Go to “\Program Files\Origin Games\FIFA 23_installer\EAAntiCheat" folder on your PC. Launch EAAntiCheat Installer app. Select “FIFA 23” from the list of games. Press the “Uninstall” button.
Once this is done, you need to restart the game by right-clicking on the FIFA 23 icon and choosing “Run as Administrator”. This should fix the Anti Cheat error you had previously.
Uninstall Third Party Anti Cheat Software
If you have other games that use EAC software of their own on your PC, then they could be incompatible with the EA software and create errors. Currently, there are two possible types of EAC software that you may need to uninstall:
FaceIt Anti-Cheat. Riot Vanguard.
You can uninstall either one or both of them by following these steps:
Press “Start” button. Go to “Settings” menu. Select “Apps” tab. Go to “Apps & Features” section. Highlight “FaceIT Anti-Cheat” and/or “Riot Vanguard”. Click on the three dots button. Press the “Uninstall” button.
Once the process is over, restart your PC and start FIFA 23 once again to see if the error has disappeared.
Turn Off Anti Cheat Software
If you don’t want to uninstall the EAC software, then you can disable it using the following method:
Press Win+R key combination. Type in “services. msc” and press Enter. Right-click on Easy Anti-Cheat. Select “Properties” from the list. Set the launch order to “Disable” or “Manual”. Save and exit.
You may also need to restart your PC for this action to take effect. That’s all you need to know on how to fix the EA Anti-Cheat error in FIFA 23. Hopefully one of these fixes works for you.
