Don’t worry! You don’t need any additional knowledge or equipment to perform such tasks. Now, without further ado, let’s get into it.
1. Power Cycle your Insignia TV
The chances are high that somehow your Insignia TV has some issue with the system. A power cycle method on the TV can eventually clear any kind of temporary glitches from the system. You can try it out. Just turn off the TV first > Unplug the power cable from the TV and wait for around a minute or so > Now, plug back the power cable in, and turn on the TV to check for the blue screen issue.
2. Reset the Insignia TV
The second thing you can do is reset the Insignia TV manually using the remote control. A corrupted cache of data on the system can trigger such issues. Before going to any conclusion, you should try it. Make sure to power off the TV and remove the power cable from your TV > Press the Start button on your remote for at least one minute > It should reset the TV completely > Wait for another 5 minutes and then connect the power cable and reboot it.
3. Reconnect HDMI Cable
In some cases, resetting the video source and your TV and then reconnecting the HDMI cable can help you easily fix the blue screen issue. To do so:
- Power OFF the TV > Unplug the HDMI cable from your TV.
- Now, wait for around 20 seconds, and plug back the HDMI cable into the TV.
- Finally, turn on the TV, and cross-check the issue.
4. Check TV Input using a Remote
You should always use your TV remote and hit the Input (TV/Video) button to check whether the input signal is coming on your Insignia TV or not. If in case, the input signal is coming out then make sure to use the Input button on the remote control and switch to another HDMI or antenna port where the external device is connected such as a set-top box, streaming device, console, etc. That means if HDMI 1 is connected, select the same from Input.
5. Contact Support for Servicing
If none of the methods worked for you and you’re feeling that there is an issue with the internal hardware (T-Con board) or display panel then you should contact the Best Buy Support to schedule an appointment. Just select “Make a Reservation” under “Getting Help is Easy”. If your Insignia TV screen is larger than 42-inches then you may have to call Insignia Support at (877) 467-4289 for further assistance in the technician visit and repair.
