Plex is one of the popular global media streaming services that offer live TV, on-demand movies & shows, music, photos, videos, games, and more. It seems that plenty of Plex users are encountering issues with the Live TV and DVR feature. According to reports, Plex Live TV & DVR users are getting There Was an Unexpected Error notice on the screen consistently. If you’re also one of the victims to receive the same error, check out this guide.
It’s also irritating that instead of giving any specific reason behind this error, Plex just gives a link to the forum. Meanwhile, the issue doesn’t get removed even after restarting the media server. There are multiple reports coming out that whenever there is an issue with one of the added sources, the Plex TV & DVR error message appears.

One of the common and possible workarounds is to simply restart the server and reconnect to the source. Next, attempting to access the Live & DVR settings can easily resolve the error.
However, if this trick doesn’t help you out, then try deleting the settings files for Live TV or completely reinstall the Plex media server. Even if you’re using DizqueTV Docker and somehow the container has stopped working then you may not be able to delete Plex or it won’t be able to connect to DizqueTV Docker container.
If that’s the case with you, make sure to start the DizqueTV Docker container properly and allow Plex to connect to it easily. It looks like that there is no other possible way to fix this issue as of now. Hopefully, more and more workarounds will come into the light soon.
